Ingredients
- 200g red lentils (about 1 cup / 250ml dried red lentils)
- 400ml water
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric
- ¼ teaspoon chaat masala powder
- 2cm piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1 small onion, peeled and finely diced
Method
Put all the ingredients into a saucepan and simmer with the lid on, on a medium heat, until the lentils and vegetables are cooked. This recipe makes 4 portions of about 120g each.
