Over the past decade, the focus of the Eating Better alliance has been to empower the public, policy makers and industry with the knowledge they need to make a shift towards healthy and sustainable diets. As a result, the public are becoming increasingly aware of the impact of meat production and consumption. Since 2013, there has been a 32% increase in the amount of people who agree that producing and consuming livestock can have a negative impact on the environment, increasing from 31% in 2013 to 41% in 2024.
