Charity making climate-friendly choices more desirable joins the Eating Better alliance

News | Published  15 January 2026

The beginning of a new year is often the time when people are rethinking their household habits and choices. Whether it’s to be healthier, save money or make more sustainable choices, consumers need reliable and factual information about how they can make a positive impact within their communities and homes. With this in mind, we are delighted to welcome Possible to the Eating Better alliance.

Possible is a climate charity on a mission to make the climate-friendly choice the most desirable choice. From heating our homes to taking a holiday and flipping the ratio of meat/plant based food options on menus, Possible demonstrates, popularises and campaigns for climate solutions which make low-carbon lifestyles the best way to live.

Sarah Howden, Head of Sustainable Consumption at Possible, said: "We're very happy to be joining Eating Better. We know that adding more fruit, veg, wholegrains and pulses to our diets has huge benefits - from improving our health to saving money, protecting nature and reducing climate change. We're looking forward to working together with the Alliance to make healthy, sustainable diets easier for everyone to enjoy."

Our Better by Half roadmap shows the actions that are needed by the government, producers, food service, retailers and investors to create a sustainable food and farming system in the UK. While not directed at the general public, consumers have power within the system, and enabling them to make more climate-friendly choices is key. We are looking forward to working with Possible and other alliance members to make our vision a reality.
