We would like to thank Clare for her hard work and dedication in her role as Chair, and for playing a critical role in the development of the alliance and to Friends of the Earth for its ongoing support. Clare will continue in her role as a trustee.

‘Chairing Eating Better over the past 5 years has been a huge privilege. It’s been inspiring to be part of its growth from a seed of an idea to the diverse and ambitious alliance it is today. I am thrilled to be handing over to Carol who will take on the role with enthusiasm and skill. Friends of the Earth remains firmly committed to this critical area of achieving a shift in eating patterns to less and better meat, particularly given the urgency of addressing climate change and biodiversity loss.’
Carol is currently special adviser at Compassion in World Farming. She is a committed campaigner for animal protection, who has worked with international and national animal protection organisations for over thirty years on a broad range of issues. She is experienced in strategy and campaign development, project management and PR and communications.
